Anti Phospholipid Antibody IgM Test
This test determines the presence of APL (Antiphospholipid). This antiphospholipid causes autoimmune disorder abnormal blood clotting.
Antiphospholipid antibodies are antibodies mistakenly produced against phosphorous fat components in the blood. This may lead to Antiphospholipid Syndrome; a disorder in which immune system attacks normal proteins in the blood. IgM antibodies are largest antibody, found in blood and lymph fluid. The clinical value of IgM antibodies is related to Thrombotic Antiphospholipid Syndrome (AFPS).
