CT Kub Test
CT scan KUB means Computed Tomography of the Kidney, Ureters, and Bladder. The scan is helpful in getting images of the urinary system from different angles right from top of the kidneys, down to the pubic symphysis. These images are acquired in cross-sections or slices, hence the terminology ‘tomography. A CT KUB is indicated in case of an acute undiagnosed abdomino-pelvic pain with nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or issues with passing urine. The related conditions may be intestinal blockage, gall or urinary bladder stones, malignancies, and complications of inflammation and or infection.
