BERA stands for the Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA). It is an objective test. It is done when the baby is sleeping for children below six months of age. Doctors recommend it to evaluate the hearing threshold in children. This test is done with electrodes and a computer screen and performed in a special sound-treated room in the audiology department.
